Wessel is an established artist with a body of work spanning over 30 years. His early works were created out of the sheer joy of experimenting with shape, color and composition, and were often given away to people that loved them or donated to charity auctions. Wessel paints for self catharsis and has rarely shown publicly.

In recent years he has been challenged by fellow artists to step out of his comfort-zone and stop being “selfish” with his art which caused him to adopt the motto, “Art that is locked away benefits no one.”

Frequently posting his works on social media and finding venues to display his art has attracted several private collectors to purchase his work. He does not paint for fortune or fame, but merely to express positivity in the art world and make his mark one person at a time.
